Yesterday's Cinema Circuit Solution: Whoopi Goldberg ➡️ Salma Hayek Pinault

Yesterday's puzzle asked players to get from Whoopi Goldberg to Salma Hayek Pinault in as few links as possible. The Global Record of 2 was set by dilly and tied by 164 people as of the time of this writing. The new daily puzzle went live, as always, at 12:00am ET, and dilly was able to find a winning solution by 12:02am! Here is how they did it:

Farce of the Penguins is a 2007 nature mockumentary film written and directed by Bob Saget. It features stock footage of real penguins, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. It's a parody of March of the Penguins. Whoopi Goldberg played the voice of Helen.

Fun fact: Saget originally wanted to create a comedic dub of the March of the Penguins, but was not granted permission by the film's producers.

This film is about a hitman who hires the world's top bodyguard to protect him in the time leading up to a trial before the International Court of Justice. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Salma Hayek Pinault, providing our record-setting link between Whoopi Goldberg and Salma Hayek Pinault.
